Wir suchen ab sofort dich als Team Lead Backend (m/w/d) in unserem Headquarter in München, in Berlin oder Halle (Saale) in einem hybriden Modell.

Als Team Lead Backend (m/w/d) übernimmst du die Verantwortung für die technische Führung und Weiterentwicklung unserer Plattform. Ziel der Position ist es, innovative Lösungen zu entwickeln, das Team fachlich und disziplinarisch zu leiten und unsere Softwarearchitektur zukunftssicher sowie skalierbar zu gestalten.

Leadership: Du übernimmst die fachliche Verantwortung für ein crossfunktionales Backend-Team, coachst deine Teammitglieder auf Augenhöhe und sorgst für deren kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung – sowohl technisch als auch methodisch.
Tech Ownership: Du verantwortest die Weiterentwicklung und Skalierung unserer selbstentwickelten Plattform – mit Fokus auf Performance, Security, Wartbarkeit und technologische Exzellenz.
Strategic Impact: Du arbeitest eng mit Product und Engineering Leads zusammen, bewertest technische Konzepte, bringst eigene Architekturentscheidungen ein und sorgst für eine nachhaltige Roadmap-Umsetzung.
Code Excellence: Du entwickelst selbst aktiv mit – auf Basis von PHP, Symfony, MySQL und weiteren modernen Technologien. Dabei setzt du auf Clean Code, Tests und eine durchdachte Dokumentation.
Collaboration: Du förderst eine offene und konstruktive Teamkultur – durch regelmäßige Code Reviews, Pair Programming, Tech Talks, Mentoring und interdisziplinären Austausch in der gesamten Organisation.

Dein Skillset

Technologische Exzellenz: Du hast ein Studium im MINT-Bereich oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation und bringst tiefgehende Erfahrung in der Entwicklung komplexer Webanwendungen mit PHP, Symfony und MySQL mit.
Erfahrene Führungspersönlichkeit: Du hast bereits erfolgreich ein Entwicklerteam disziplinarisch und fachlich geführt, weißt, wie du Talente förderst und ein Umfeld schaffst, in dem Teamexzellenz selbstverständlich ist.
Architektur- und Systemverständnis: Du gestaltest skalierbare, leistungsstarke Softwarearchitekturen und triffst klare, zukunftssichere Entscheidungen, die den Code für die kommenden Jahre fit machen.
Tool-Souveränität: Du bewegst dich sicher in modernen Entwicklungsumgebungen – von Git über Docker und Kubernetes bis hin zu CI/CD-Workflows, Jira und Co. Du hast die Bereitschaft, neue Technologien zielgerichtet zu evaluieren und einzuführen.
Teamorientierung & Kommunikation: Du bist ein Teamplayer, der in interdisziplinären Scrum-Teams aufblüht und technische Exzellenz sowie Kollaboration ständig vorantreibt. Du kommunizierst überzeugend auf Englisch und idealerweise in Deutsch und bist der kompetente Ansprechpartner für alle relevanten Stakeholder.

Your mission

We’re looking for a Team Lead Backend (f/m/d) to join us as soon as possible – at our headquarters in Munich, or in Berlin or Halle (Saale) in a hybrid setup.

As our Team Lead Backend, you’ll take full responsibility for the technical leadership and continuous development of our platform. Your mission: to drive innovation, lead and grow your team, and build a robust, scalable software architecture that’s ready for the future.

What you'll do

Leadership:Lead a cross-functional backend team, coach your team members with a peer-to-peer mindset, and support their ongoing development – both technically and methodologically.
Tech Ownership: Own and scale our in-house developed platform – with a strong focus on performance, security, maintainability, and technical excellence.
Strategic Impact: Work closely with Product and Engineering leadership, assess technical concepts, contribute your own architectural decisions, and ensure a long-term, sustainable roadmap execution.
Code Excellence: Stay hands-on with modern technologies such as PHP, Symfony, and MySQL. You write clean, well-documented, and tested code.
Collaboration: Foster an open and constructive team culture through code reviews, pair programming, mentoring, tech talks, and cross-functional collaboration.

Your skillset

Technical Excellence: Degree in Computer Science or a similar field and strong experience building complex web applications using PHP, Symfony, and MySQL.
Proven Leadership: You’ve successfully led a team of developers (both technically and disciplinarily) and know how to unlock potential and create an environment where team excellence thrives.
Architectural Mindset: You design scalable, high-performing systems and make sound decisions that ensure the long-term health of the codebase.
Tool Proficiency: You’re confident working in modern dev environments: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and more. You’re open to evaluating and adopting new tools and technologies when they add value.
Team Player & Communicator: You thrive in interdisciplinary Scrum teams, drive technical excellence through collaboration, and communicate clearly in English (German is a plus). You act as a trusted partner for key stakeholders across the business.
